Anita Williams

Councilwoman Anita Williams was elected to her first term on the Dunnellon City Council and was sworn into office on November 13, 2018 to Council Seat #3.  She is a native of Dunnellon, Florida where she currently resides with her husband, Curley.  She has five siblings who also live in Dunnellon and a brother who resides in Thomasville, Georgia.  

Councilwoman Williams is a 1973 graduate of Dunnellon High School and a 1976 graduate of Central Florida Community College with an Associate of Science degree.   She was employed by the State of Florida for 38.5 years in various positions, to include management. During her career she received certifications as a Certified Motivational Career Coach and Job Seeker Services Professional from Dynamic Works Institute of E-Learning, in addition to completing multiple continuing education courses.

Councilwoman Williams is a member of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Dunnellon, under the pastorate of the Reverend Warren Hardaway.  She has served as a volunteer Financial Secretary since 2007, managing all aspects of the church finances, and performs other clerical duties as needed.  She is also a Sunday School Teacher and member of the church choir.
